Lower quotas, higher "insurance" = a wash (they think), with the benefit of being easier on the time constraints.

No Stock or SS class at Pomona x2 , Gainesville, Las Vegas, Norwalk Chicago, Seattle, or Brainerd. I would think if they were concerned with making money these races would have class elim. in Stk or SS.

Re: Class schedule is out

Stock or Superstock has always been run at Brainerd, very disappointing.

Re: Class schedule is out

Guess I'm a glass half full guy on this one...Stock and S/S have the opportunity to race every National event (Stock picking up Houston this year) and stock class eliminations is only contested one less time than last year. With all the weather issues I forgot how many class eliminations were settled by highest Q position but there were several. As to quotas, don't recall how many events filled to quota but maybe 5 tops(?). Most often the quota gets met and then you have the inevitable withdrawals for various bonafide reasons. Point is most events have had openings with the higher quotas, people just had to be ready to pounce on a opening by the Monday mid-day cutoff. Frankly I was surprised that TD and TS didn't take some of our event spots so overall I don't think we did too bad.
