This car in J/SA ...???
Please forgive me if this is a re-post, but after seeing what class this car is planned to run, I could not help but wonder if they will slaughter the J/SA index.
Heck, the guys with production 2011 Mustang GTs are running well into 11's with a street production car on Modular Forums: http://www.modularfords.com/forums/f...9-2011-Mustang The car in the Stang TV article seems to have the same or more power than the 5.0 Coyote engines in the 2011 GTs, but is wrapped in a full on race car envelope...WOW ! Quote from paragraph 4: "The Bongiovanni’s plan to run the car next year in NHRA’s Northeast Division 1, with a debut planned in February at the Division 2 races in Florida. Plans are to run the Mustang in the J/SA Stock Eliminator class." Link to the write up: http://www.stangtv.com/features/car-...r-bongiovanni/ |

To my (limited) knowledge the 5.0 engine has not been submitted (yet).
I believe that Anthony's new car will be powered by the 4.6L 3 valve engine. See you at the races, Wayne Kerr |

I would think that 3 valve 4.6 in that 2010 CJ should make close to 500 fwhp with those CNC heads, big TB and big cams. The guys on Modular Forums are running 11.70's with just a CAI, gears, tune, and exhaust with the new 5.0. Imagine what that engine in a stripped down Stang will do ? |
Re: This car in J/SA ...???
My opinion is someone has to build one first. You would have to be out of your mind to spend that much on a J/SA. Most J stockers are low buck car's, at least mine is. If someone did build one I feel it would not stay in J/SA very long before it became a I or H car. But this is my opinion.
