NHRA has finally named the new DD for us here in Div 2.

Let's hear the opinions of any of you all that know him or anything about him, good, bad or indifferent. I have no idea who he is.

I will give Mr. Schaefer all the support I can and wish him good luck. I hope he can make the changes that are needed in our Division. Good communication skills will go a long way. Jim

I agree. I was hoping for a bit more of a racer.

For what it's worth, I'll vouch for him. He's a great guy whom I think you'll find will work hard to help the Division. He's an exceptional event director, an excellent administrator and will be excellent in his communication with the racers. Moreover, he won't put his nose into subjects which are better handled by the Division Tech Director.

That's good press from Bret, who would be silent if he had concerns. We'll meet him at the Bracket Finals and Reynolds and I wish him the best...there are various challenges across the spectrum in the division.

Bret, you vouching for him is all the credential I need. I was concerned about him not really being a "racer", but if you believe in him then he has to be a good guy. I look forward to shaking his hand in Reynolds and seeing what he has in store for the division ( hopefully a decent schedule, with some races outside of fl/ga.
