Well, one hour of programming whittled away to a half hour. If you blinked your eyes too hard you missed the finals of S/SS. They even threw in the finals of the Hemi Challenge. What a shame that if you watch drag racing on TV and if you didn't know better you would think the sport is dragsters and plastic body cars. It never concentrates on the grass roots of drag racing. Some people not in the know would think it is only done with what TV shows. A great reality show could filmed about the times and tribulations of a working man S/SS racer through a season.------just my 2 cents-John

ESPN 2 luvs ya

For those keeping score, ESPN 2 proramming for Sunday 9/12 for Drag Racing sportsman from Indy at 3 to 4 pm EST was displaced by the the continuing U.S. Open Tennis. I guess we are moving up from Girls college softball. ---- YA GOTTA LUV IT !

Couldn't agree with you more. But then again, showing the taped men's semi-final is also a slap in the face to the Sportsman racers. Why couldn't we have an all auto racing channel, other than SPEED? Does anyone know when they intend on showing INDY Sportsman?

If they, NHRA, truly want fans, they'd show the finals of all class races from Indy, and the shootouts and of course Eliminator finals too. Real cars for real people. I thought thats why Mopar and Ford are releasing these new drag cars as statements to be seen by us, the public, aka fans and start new fans and of course customers.$$$$$$$$
My friends who like cars or who still have muscle cars don't really like dragsters and funny cars, you can't even tell what they are supposed to be.
This is so sad. They, NHRA, really are out of touch with the people in general. Must be a Cali thing, I dunno.

They show everyone - each pair. And when there is down time you see what is going on on the starting line. We have only watched ESPN3 for Indy, but this is what they showed: first camera angle is from a point of view about about the 60' clocks towards the tree & cars, then about the 660 mark, then down to the finish line. No audio, need to click on the NHRA audio and sometimes the video is a bit behind the audio so you know who wins via the audio before the video shows the cars taking off. But it is really cool!

ESPN3 from Indy was really good drag race coverage. You saw every run and every clean-up. There was even a sportsman shot from the Blimp. If you have a new flat screen tv and a lap top you connect your lap top to the flat screen tv and you are watching serious drag race tv. I was able to have the sound; however, I did turn it down and listen to the Autocast just to compare. This Sunday during the Z-max broadcast I am going to try to figure out if you can download the program. Check it out
