racer.Indy is a joke.
All the Stocker people want is for you to do the job rite

But it could be stopped if someone had some back bone who was in charge. WOW....NHRA might have to give back the 3 tenths on the index's they just took away......lol.

I have conplained about the Head Problem for at least 5 years to Bruce and Danny, so they thought coming up with checking the runners would be the answer, and it has helped, but it has not fixed the problem, by no means!

When I was hanging around Batten Heads in the late 70"s Batten was doing acid ported heads for Stock, Super Stock & Super Modifed also they were redoing the Cutter Maching in the Bowl under the valve seat.. Also avaiable was actual porting the hidden by Shot Peening and all this passed. NHRA Tech. The acid porting was done in the old wooden porting booths on the east side of the building.. The fumes were so bad. A note is that on East side of his shop there was a Dannon Yogurt Dist center, the line their truck up nose to the fennces so they could load the trucks from the rear a fuuny thing happened the trucks that face the shop had hood that rusted out in front, you think it might have been the ACID???????

Woodro, from my recollection - the Acid Heads had really started to surface @ Indy in about '89 or '90? I was just finishing my last car build then and specifically told my engine builder "NO" to the process, only to find out after the fact, "That EVERYBODY who was a hitter was already doing this!".

Now we have acid; carbide and diamond dust; and all kind of "TRICKS" and Slight of Hand... And it's all "Legal".

Ooops, I keep forgetting, It's not whats legal that matters, it's whats accepted that counts.

(excuse my naivete, but what does "TCB" stand for?)
