Congrats to Carey Bales
As a long time lurker here and after watching this weekends racing I had to make a post to give credit to Carey, Mike & all the guys.
What an impressive performance! I know that you guys worked hard for it and you'll keep working at it until you make the perfect pass. 10.00 in E/SA.... wow! BTW where the hell did that killer 60' come from? http://i53.tinypic.com/6944uv.jpg |
Re: Congrats to Carey Bales
Pretty good performance for a car that went to the LODRS race at Joliet made 1 hit & got a DQ.
Not bad at all.............. I wonder how fast that combo will run once he figures out how to open the hood???????? |

Yea. I'm always impressed when someone brings a howitzer to a gun fight. That's alot to be proud of. Kinda like being proud of beating your 5yr old at basketball.

A soft combination makes for a fast car.

Re: Congrats to Carey Bales
Thanks man. Much appreciated.
I also want to thank Eric Merryfield for giving me the awesome opportunity to drive his VERY fast car in the US Nationals (a dream of mine since I started racing). The whole experience has been very humbling, something I'll remember and cherish for the rest of my life. His car hauls, and there is still a ton left in it. Now if only I didn't redlight in the finals of class...... Also, without Mike Roth (MR2Performance) and Devin Pearce (AEM Electronics) none of this would be possible. Thanks guys!!!! |
Re: Congrats to Carey Bales
Wow...You can taste the jealousy. Nothing like kicking a guy in the nuts for going fast.

Re: Congrats to Carey Bales
Congrats here also. I don't think it was all that easy. I saw Carey working on the front brakes to fix a problem and some of the brake assembly being fixed in the dirt in the pits. And why take the hood off it you don't need to? But I will say I saw the hood off and Carey doing some minor engine work.
