Greg, Thanks for posting, I had no idea that this was organized, it looks like a great event, wish that it wasn't the same date as the Epping IHRA event.

Have been told they're expecting a big turnout for this event.....both old ex-Orange racers and a bunch of the old racecars from competition in that era that are still in existence....Hopefully weather will co-operate.....that's this coming Saturday 9-11-2010....... WJ

Great weather and huge turnout for the Orange Drag Strip Reunion yesterday. Well over 300 vintage/current race cars, muscle and classic cars in attendance and spectator attendance into the thousands. I had the opportunity to speak at length with former C Modified Production Champion, Ralph Ridgeway. There were also a few other NHRA former Indy and other Nat. event and Div. 1 champs in attendance, such as Pete Murphy, ("Wapid Wabbit" '55 Chevy) former Indy E Gas champ. It was a great day for all in attendance, with Hot Rod Magazine and Speed Channel's Steve Magnante acting as master of ceremonies......Actually, the word was out yesterday that there are old New England Timing Association people currently working on bringing back 1/4 mile action at the Orange Airport facility.

Sounds like an event to put on next year's calendar.
