School
Ok, so I went to Hawley to get my liscence passes for lack of knowledge of any other options.
I a lookingfor suggestions on where , what school, may be better to get someone liscenced who has no experience. Ive seen/heard several names thrown out here, so Id like to get feedback and opinions , and a list of options. Cheers Chris |
Re: School
Hawley is your best bet, once you get some seat time, go to edmonds and learn all about the finish line you can!

But thinking back on it Im concerned it may be a bit too much too fast for someone not having any actual background or seat time of any kind. Hell give me a "deal" on bringing someone down, like we were given at abt half the price, but Im just afraid it may be too much too fast..... |
Re: School
Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School's Super Class is designed for those who have never driven a car to those who have had some experience. It's a perfect starter class. :D

Re: School
Frank Hawley's school is perfect.
My brother had never driven anything before he attended Frank Hawley's school. He went out to Vegas in March earlier this year for Frank's school. Without that, he would be lost in his Super Comp dragster. My brother said it made all the difference in the world. So, my recommendation is for Frank Hawley's school. Thanks, Brad Rose Rose Racing |

Re: School
I liked Hawleys, maybe it was because everyone had driven that he focused more on things like Reaction time , noone had any issues driving and noone required an additional pass (except the "best" guy in the class whose RT were sweet, driving was sweet, but decided to hit the transbrake at about the 200 ft mark....Ouuuucccchhhhh) And well my Dad on his 1000ft pass, when Hawley asked "Why the hell did you keep going ?" , My dads answer "Because I was having fun", Hawley shook his head and said while I may not like it it was an honest answer so he didnt make him repeat it :D
Like I said, there , in my class was much more time spent teaching how to drive WELL, than just drive. But in retrospect I think that had to do with the class makeup. Hawleys it is.....I just didnt know if there were any good options, closer, Like Roy Hills ? I know nothing about it..... Thanks Chris Quote:

Re: School
Another endorsement for Hawley. Both my daughter and I went through it. Loved it. She had Jack Beckman, I had Frank. Both good teachers, and seem to tune to meet the students. If you are a novice, they'll hold your hand. If you have it under control, they talk the finer points. Just a couple years later, she's doing great -- currently #8 in S/C in NHRA Div 6 :)
