Ahhh...the good old days. When you went to the races and could stand next to the cars as they did their burnout and launched with no fences. Anybody, not just the crew. Even guys in wheel chairs could park their butts in between the cars as they put on their show!
And who doesn't have found memories of holding the cars quarter panels & moving the car side to side for the burn out ritual? Followed by one last tire pressure check on those leaky 'stones and maybe even a glop of Moroso Traction goo (what was that stuff called again?) in front of the slicks for one last attempt at traction.
Heck, I used to take some pretty good pictures by standing in front of the car about 150' in front of the starting line. Great close up photos on launch.
If not for those good old days, I probably would not be a racer today (or at least waiting to be one again)!

Moose Juice was a concotion that Norman "Moose" Pearrah came up with at Baton Rouge. He used it at a Cajun Nationals and people loved it and NHRA used it for many years. I don't know if he sold the pattent to VHT or not.
