Top Sportsman Indy Moments
With the U.S. Nationals coming up, we're (Drag Racing Action Magazine - www.dragracingaction.com) trying to come up with some Top Sportsman Indy Moments from any year. Obviously the moment has to be printable, but there's lots of things we can get away with. If you don't want your name mentioned just let me know.

Re: Top Sportsman Indy Moments
Not sure of the year(s) these happened, Wendell Howes' wheelie bar bending, bumper-dragging wheelie in SS/AA class. And Mike McKinney's bumper-dragging, rear license plate-bending wheelie in his SS/IA '68 Firebird (McKinney had no wheelie bars).

Re: Top Sportsman Indy Moments
Though it was before I was born, there was a story about John Lingenfelter taking a helicopter from the track back to his shop to either repair the engine he broke, or brought a new engine back to the track?

Re: Top Sportsman Indy Moments
Of course I'm kinda partial to Lee Zane winning back to back Indys driving the Apollo in Stock eliminator. And both finals were against Dan Fletcher.

Re: Top Sportsman Indy Moments
Well, I'm kinda partial to Kevin Helms' back to back wins in 1998 and 1999, as far as I know, he was the first sportsman to ever back to back Indy!!
