Motel 6

Why is it that Motel 6 is a sponser of the NHRA and they double their price from $51 on Thursday night to $100 on Friday night? I just don't understand. While on the phone with a lady to reserve a room in Bristol she says "the price doubles because there's a drag race this weekend". I guess you just get screwed no matter what!!

It's called capitalism. They charge what they think the market can stand. You take it or you leave it,same as the charges we pay to race NHRA/IHRA etc.

I was working in Augusta, Ga. and I was staying at the Hampton, it was $86.00 a night. The week before and the week of the Masters the rates go up to $316.00 a night. There is no negociating the price. Needless to say I did not work those 2 weeks in Augusta.
