IHRA D5 Byron ProAm - NHRA Members & Certs Okay!
Info from www.ihra.com:
In a huge effort to offer the IHRA and Byron Dragway hospitality, the management of Byron Dragway is offering the opportunity for any NHRA member to race at this Divisional event without purchasing an IHRA membership or license. A current NHRA license must be available at the event as well as current NHRA chassis certification if required by class. |

It's a great little track - downhill and everything (I will take every thousandth I can get!) and a part of history - US CLASS NATIONALS . . . .
They will have test and tune Friday, pro am race Saturday, brackets after that, and Sunday's race will get you entered to the Tournament of Champions if you win! Weather looks to be pretty good for the weekend, so come on out! Here's a link to the article, within that is a link for the race ad. |

great track management, great announcing.. its ridiculous if they dont get cars. 2 races dont need a membership, absolutely no reason people shouldnt show up. It will be a great time...I know i instead N scare people makes no sense

Oh, fer&^)(#*$Y$(^..... This reminds me of the news story I heard this weekend where "Ladies Night" is being outlawed at bars in some upper midwest state because some guy filed a discrimination suit.
Big picture, people, big picture! |

Looks like they're actually realizing that they've lost a few cars , at least they are trying to do something about it. I personally believe that you should be allowed to cross over in either direction with the stuff you have, be it N or I. Joe

my comment was only meant to be a rhetorical question, although it has at least some merit. Personally, I hope that alot of cars take advantage of the offer.
Someone could race the one win and in race, then join the IHRA and win the championship at the end of the year. Where else could you get a deal like that?! |
