Help with cal-trac set up
Hi all, would like to get opinions on the best way to set up cal-trac bars on my 68 Camaro to get the best possible short times.
Car goes hi 11's with a best of 11.63. Typical 60 foot times are 1.65 to 1.68 - I'm quite sure I should be able to do much better. Should I be using top hole or bottom hole? Should I pre-load either side? Any thoughts would be appreciated!! |

hey man ive got the Smith Racecraft bars which are very similar and the guys there say to preload the hell out of them. They suggested i turn them til they touch and then go two more complete turns. Also bottom hole on the rearend and middle hole on the front. Try contacting cal-trac and see what they say because i know they have tested the bars ia all different settings.
