Lots of good racing and a beautiful day to boot. I couldn't stick around for today's race.

Danny,

I thought maybe you'd be there.

Just bad timing for me. I'll be there for the August race.

I had to leave for Saturday this year.

Alot of the guys that are from the Pittsburgh area just don't seem to support the track.

I think a few things were going against the race this weekend.
- The weather on Saturday (I live about an hour and a half northwest of the track and it was bad here).
- The fact that it's run 1/8 mile on a perfectly fine 1/4 mile track.
- It being Mothers Day weekend (Hagerstown used to have a National Open on Mothers Day weekend and car counts were never high).
- And sad to say, some people just don't support a race unless it's an NHRA Nat'l or Div'l race. (I had a S/SS race last September at Pittsburgh, there were thirteen cars).
- Being a double probably didn't help, either. Doubles are nice, having two races for one trip, but it's a lot of money to pony up for one weekend ($350 just in crew and entry fees). For me, a double at MIR would cost almost as much as an eight day trip to Indy for the US Nat'ls (with paying the entry for Indy several months in advance).

Jack, I think it's "yinz". Like, "Are yinz goin' down to Pants n 'at?".

Chris, I know a few people didn't go, one was in a car accident a few weeks ago and another didn't have their engine back yet. I still think 1/8 mile is the biggest turn-off for most racers at PRP.
