Okay....Rich Christensen has asked all Stock and Super Stock racers who haven't entered a PINKS: All Out event - to come out and give it a try. Those "sour grape, haters" is who he's asking to give it another try. I got his attention and he would like to get to know a little about the cars you drive so be sure to note that on your tech and registration forms when you enter. It’s the first step towards a venue he's looking at just for us!! To re-iterate, the PINKS: ALL OUT concept originated from his witnessing a simple test and tune where he felt he could elevate grassroots racers into the national spotlight. The popularity of PINKS, at times, has surpassed NASCAR on the Speed network. We could be next .... but we need to prove we want it!!!

yea PINKS is a lot of fun...packs the stands better than Funny Cars and an awesome opportunity to get some coverage.

I do not understand the appeal of this Pinks thing. You have to pay "X" amount of money to enter, then get to make a time shot or two and may or may not get to race. What's the appeal?

Maybe its the chance for 30 seconds of fame on national tv? Heads up racing all out? Street style arm drop starts?.....Probably the biggest draw is the chance to win $10,000 in cash and $8,000 in prizes for the win. The 400-450 car field fills up in minutes after registration starts.

Like I said, I just don't get it. When you go to race, don't you want to know that you have a chance to race for the money and not have to be selected to compete?

You'll get it when you roll into the water for your saturday afternoon arm drop pass and you look down the track and it's wall to wall people packed in the stands 10 deep...

Being a computer geek we used to have a saying

"There are 10 types of people who understand binary, those who get it and those who dont"

(For those who are left scratching your head 10 is a representation of 2 in binary)

I think youd have to be there to "get it" I dont understand how any racer or competitive A type could NOT get it, I mean hell Im up for any kind of competitive event, which has lead to some pretty stupid things in my life.

How can a Racer NOT get a Race ? Especially one with as someone else mentioned your 15 minutes of fame, and some cash and tools ? I wish they were still racing for titles, that would make it more interesting to me, but well...theyre not so.
