Super Stock 1st round @ Pomona
 

I see the starting line must be in tip top shape again just like it was when I SPUN 1st round at the Finals last year. Reading the 1st round results there were a lot of racers WAY over their dial.

I was at Pomona today, lots of tire spin and quite a few red lights too.
Still it was a good day of watching.

John Calverts Mustang on the 3rd qualifing pass went way up and then
down fast. Stopped and got towed back to his pit. Damage??

Bob Mazzolini had his SS/AH Cuda there with a 383 in it for SS/IA, he
was having a good day.

The qualifying sheet says 6766 SS/AS Bob Mazzolini, Riverside CA, '68 Barracuda 9.283 9.60 -0.317, certainly not a SS/IA. Is this a misprint, I'm confused. What engine combo is he running, Paul.

There've been typos up-the-butt on the qual sheets. Yesterday they had Dave Moreno in SS/G .........judging by the picture he would have been the first stick I've seen running on radials.
