Nhra tech for horsepower!!!!!
I was a stock and superstock racer 20 years ago,and the racers that work their tales off to get their cars to run fast and spend all this money is not right for all the racers. I thought that when you run class the goal was to out run your class mate? not run to the 1,000 ft mark to save on getting horsepower!!! The engine's and tran's and converter in this cars are a lot of money to just say o'well I will just build me a new engine that is not ring out on horsepower. I don't know how everyone else feels about is, but I don't enjoy watch a fast car that haves to run to the 1,000 ft mark to save on horsepower and weight for his hard work. I think if you can't be competative in the class you are running then you should find a class that you can aford to run in. I really enjoy watching superstock and stock class, why not let the racers that can run fast in class run it all out to make it sum great classracing instead of punshing the racers to run to the 1000 ft mark because of getting horsepower and weight.I feel that their is a lot of stock and superstocker that wood make class racing really interresting!!!! just my 2 cents worth:mad::(:( It's like the one post say's who wood you all like to see RUN ALL OUT with out scoreboards. I hope everyone enjoys their racing this year. Thanks alot nhra tech!!!!!:mad:

Re: Nhra tech for horsepower!!!!!
Well with the new Index adjustments 1.00 is the new trigger in Class and in Eliminations @ National Events. That would be equivalent to 1.300 under before we trigger a review. I agree before it was just ridiculous, it was a toss up, you could win class, get HP and wait for people to pay, or you could just run class in bracket mode to get ready for Eliminations.

Ed, it's not that I can't change my oil, it's just that I choose not to. Besides, I'm not one of the fast guys so I guess it's irrevelent.

Re: Nhra tech for horsepower!!!!!
The class index's may be soft for some. But let the fast cars in class run all out!! ( if you can't run with THE BIG DOGS IN CLASS then YOU BETTER FIND YOU A BETTER ENGINE BUILDER!!:D:D

too soft!! Only for some
Seems like we used be handicapped from the national record of the class. (anyone remember) Back then It worked out best for cubic dollars too! I say quit your crying, lets race!
