Compton not the highest earner

According to the hours worked for compensation at NHRA for 2008, Compton only gets $352 per hour in salary and another $19 per hour in "other compensation".

But the most absurd is Dallas Gardner at $614 per hour, and that is if he actually works 10 hours a week!

According to NHRA "logic", Compton should be complaining that his hourly compensation is below the rate of a part-time chairman of the board.

That is the same board that doubled sportmen membership dues, licenses, and chassis certification "fees".

And, this is the same board that wonders why so many members are not renewing?

If that was not so insane it would be almost funny.

Isn't it great that you're "allowed" to earn more working at the head of a not-for-profit entity than some privately owned businesses are not allowed to make, per the "Pay Czar"?

Non Profits are the best places to work for the money.
Go look at your local blood banks.
They are usually non profits and if you look at their salaries you would be shocked.
All their advertising is usually free advertising by the local news for their blood drives.
The blood is donated and they sell it off to hospitals.
Our local blood bank Manager or Director or whatever they call him is well into the six figures for a non profit. Not bad for someone who only has to direct or organize a office operation, staff, and schedule usually volunteer nurses to take blood.
Non Profits seem to pay well from where I sit.
My 2 Cents

Michael,
The salary caps are for the bailed out companies.

Leave Dallas alone!!!!

According to 2007's returns he was earning that by only working one hour a week during 2007. So Dallas is working ten times as hard this year to earn what he is making. Don't you guys feel ashamed of knocking this hard working man.

Hey, sometimes my business is 'Not For Profit' but I certainly didn't intend for it to be that way, lol.
