Precision Fuel Testing Systems---company

Model FT-K01----part number

ONE THOUSAND BUCKS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ plus any accessories

make sure you test on a NON metal counter and not within 12 inches of metal walls counters etc-----polypropolene container only !!!! probe fully immersed!!! rock probe back and forth to remove any air bubbles in probe!!!!!! FAILURE to do any of the above will give you a false reading

Don't forget you will also need some Cyclohexane to go with the tester.

Re: Fuel Tester

How would you know its calibrated correctly? I have been in the fuel trailer when the tech guy comes in there "setting" the meter. Is this an every race day or weekend occurance? If the fuel companies' specs are the same every time, why recal the meter?

Re: Fuel Tester

I believe the cyclohexene is used for calibration.......from what I read.

Re: Fuel Tester

And don`t forget that you would also need the specs for the fuel being tested, as well as temperature conversion chart that shows the different readings for a given temp.

Re: Fuel Tester

my friend that i do the Mopars at the Strip event has a brand new tester only used once and its the same one NHRA uses, if interested, e-mail me and I'll give you him e-mail and phone number. I might bring it home with me in march after the race to try to sell it around here for him.
He has the Cyclohexane to go with it also
