Looks like the National Hot Rod Association still exists and will run the sportsman series and sanction local tracks. or did I read this part wrong?

"The NHRA will receive ....................... In addition to retaining its non-professional racing activities and sanctioning role, the NHRA will continue to offer its membership program and publish its weekly publication National Dragster."

and they sold the building too.

"and the NHRA headquarters building in Glendora,
California"

Anyone know who will receive the $121 million?

Has there ever been a Tom Compton quote without the word "growth" in it? This sport seems to "grow" every year.

yea , now Wally wants to "focus on sportsman racing" , and thats in his own words . maybe some $10 grand to win divisionals for $170 entry..maybe even buy backs

You're welcome CR. I thought it was interesting, and welcome the change. I don't think that the state that drag racing is in today (both professional and sportsman) is terrible, but I think a new view will be refreshing.

And if nothing else, it will give us all something to talk about. ;-)

Hope all you guys and gals are having fun...I'm still waiting on the motor...hopefully it will be done soon...
