Ultimate Doorslammer Shootout

July 20-21, 2007

The event on Saturday, July 21 is a limited, pre-entered field. There will be four segments of 32 cars: (128-car field total, 7 rounds, no buybacks)
1-2) A total of 64 Box doorslammers, which will be separated into two 32-car segments based on qualifying ET (Q1-32, Q33-64).
3) 32 Stock/Super Stock cars
4) 32 Footbrake cars

3rd round loser: $100
4th round loser: $300
5th round loser: $1,000
Semis: $2,000 (In the semis, the two Box winners will run each other, and the S/SS winner runs Footbrake winner)
The final round will be a Box car vs a bottom-bulb car for $7,000 and an IHRA Iron Man trophy to win and $3,000 R/U.
Entry is $200. Win three rounds and pay for your whole weekend! Even if you only win two rounds, you paid for your gas.

There will also be a free 'Dash for Cash' for $200/win on the last qualifying run. M&M Chassis Craft has put up a $200 bonus to the Low E.T. of 1st round of eliminations.

Friday's event is just an all-run $3K bracket race, keeping box/no-box separate as much as possible. There will also be a heads-up Quick 16 for $1,000/win, qualified out of the bracket race. Not sure you're fast enough? Don't worry about it... Q16 runs first in the run order. Whatever round you lose in the Q16, you will advance into the next round of the bracket race. Win the Q16, advance to 5th round.

A little extra info: Pageland is located kind of between Charlotte and Darlington. I've been bracket racing there this year. 2 wins and a semi with my bracket car and a r/u with the Stocker. Myron Piatek also has a runner-up there and can attest to the track.
