Pulley size is now a spec
 
Check it out, pulley sizes are now part of the specs on the supercharged Mustangs.

More important what DIA HAVE THEY BEEN RUNING AND WHAT DIA WERE THE RECORDS SET WITH GONE THRU TECH WITH?? LOOKS TO ME AS NHRA BOY'S DROPPED THE BALL BIG TIME N THIS ONE. The 57 fords had their dia llisted and as I remeber the Stick Shift was different than Auto had more Boost.

Also important to note is OEM pulley's only! No aftermarket! No playing with Belt and groove widths.

exactly right Bill, it should also state that the tensioners must be OEM as well

the OEM tensioner is spring loaded. Metco and others make tensioners that are positive acting, and act on a different place on the belt thus increasing boost by eliminating any slippage. The tensioner should at minimum have to be of OEM type (spring loaded) and should be in the stock location

Oh puulease! Then I'll run a belt soaked in belt dressing that has zero slip.


Man the hating is so obvious!

I wish obama motors and fiat would hurry up and field their pony cars........

there is no "hating", i just know what the supercharged mod motors are capable of. I do applaud NHRA for specifying the pulleys finally.

The pulley spec has always been there, just not published. However, I do not know if they were checking them.
