Another racer passes on

I was just informed of the passing of Bill Robinson. Bill raced Oldsmobiles early in his career at the old Suffolk track later teaming with Ron Garey in the 80's.

That's a shame .He was a classy and fun guy. I think I'll have a beer for Ol' Bill.

Hey Chuck,

Sorry to hear about Bill, as Mark said he was a real funny guy... Always had plenty of stories to tell and keep you laughing..........May he rest in peace...

I did not know him, but, it is a sad day when we lose a racer. It is exceptionally bad when they are Oldsmobile racers. Not too many of them left.
Chuck, you need to talk your dad into coming to a Div.1 event.

Chuck:
I am very saddened to learn of Bill's passing. Seems like just yesterday my dad and I were in TX (buying his current ride from Bill). He is definitely one of a rare bunch of ol school, die hard racers (like your dad).

Hope you and momma are enjoying your retirement?

Dean

Dean, thanks very much. I wouldn't call it much of a retirement working full time and taking care of two houses at the same time doesn't leave much relax time. had my 65 cutlass delivered a couple weeks ago I'll send you a pick of it. 44k original miles (bought it with only 19K)

Evidently old habits are hard to break! Lol I was aware that the retirement did not include the day time job or "honey to do list". Hope you are finding sometime to enjoy yourself. I would love to try and squeak a visit to VA next month, but probably not going to happen with the travel schedule.

take care,
Dean
