Re: I'd like to have this one!
Wonder why the back wheels are chocked? These things don't come with a transmission?

He says "this car is not turn key". Did he remove the drive train? Jim

Re: I'd like to have this one!
If I understood it correctly, the Challengers come with a "core" engine & trans and info on how to install a different, race-oriented rear end. I am guessing they come with an OEM rear and no driveshaft. That car looks to be "as delivered".

Re: I'd like to have this one!
The Drag Pack Challenger comes from the factory with the engine ordered 5.7 hemi, 6.1 hemi or 5.9 mag.a trans core to hold the engine and a rear cradle with no center section or rear brakes. The cradel has a 5 lug spindle to hold a tire ( snow tires on steel wheels ). The does comes with mark williams front brakes...Luke

"JUST SPOKE TO DIRECT CONNECTION.
PRODUCTION HAS BEEN SLASHED TO 50." If that is true, and there is much more demand-wise, why stop at 50? I could never figure out the factory's 'thinking' on such matters; unless producing these specialty vehicles are in the negative or barely profitable column. M68 |

Obama doesn't like race cars.

Re: I'd like to have this one!
After reading the add on the posted link I called the Direct Connection performance department for myself to verify the validity of the add contents in regards to production numbers. The folks at Direct Connection told me that information is FALSE! They are still moving forward with the original production numbers. They are however trying to get 50 units out the door by the end of the year. This would meet the criteria with NHRA for making them legal.
rx dealer is correct in the description of the "as delivered" package. |
Re: I'd like to have this one!
Glen only $85,000 and it is yours. What do they go for from Mopar?

Re: I'd like to have this one!
The list is 36995. The 50 by the end of the year is corrent. I have # 16. For 85K, I would sell it. Race motor, no trans or rear end that is worth anything. I think there will be a couple of race models in Indy and Jack McCormack is bringing mine to Indy and Bobby Brannon is bringing it to Shreveport.
