What good is the hood scoop if the air intake is near the left fender? Just wondering. Jim R |

In picture #1 is Jim Waldo inside the cobra jet and John Calvert standing next to the cobra jet. That would make a great racing team!

Jim, All fast cars have a hood scoop. Or so I was told. Or maybe its just one of those magician slight of hand distraction tricks to distract you from some other more potent trick. Now nobody would build a GT car version of this with a reallllly tall intake under there would they? Did you ever see the one Matt Morgan had on his Top Stock 502? My step stool wasn't that tall. (Common Matt, it is funny!) |
Re: Pictures of the new Cobra Jet at the races
The Cobra Jets have a hood scoop for the Super Stock GT guys. The Cobra Jet body has the lightest shipping weight of all of the late model Mustangs. Most of you know that for carburator clearance, the open hood scoop allows you to run a taller intake. The Supercharger will fit under a stock flat hood, The Shelby Mustangs are one example.
