WOW,
To the hardest working man in rock & rock, oops drag racing. Re-set the SS/IA record, ran right on the F/SA record and won Super Stock Eliminator. Way to go!!!! Bob & crew at A & M Motorsports PS: You're not getting lazy in your old age are you??? Didn’t you usually set both the Stock & Super Stock records and pull down both cars???? |
Re: Another wann win!!!!
Hi Rob,
Petey boy is hauling ***** We knew that you could tune him up and I can't wait until both you guys get your heads together at a test session and fine tune that clutch combo!!!!!!!!!! Sticks are looking better all the time. I still remember the bad old days with a Liberty Hemi trans, 40# flywheel, 2800# pressure plate and a Suburban full of every spare part that was known to mankind to fix the breakage. If I think back real hard, I can still remember bench-pressing that cast iron cased brute back into the Camaro. We had a points meet at Sacramento back in the late 70's when they put VHT Track-Bite in the water box and you did your burn out in VHT. That weekend I went through a 40# flywheel, a 50# flywheel and 3 pressure plates and clutch discs. Way too much hook for SS/I car with a 14 X 32 tire The next week I called up Marv at A-1 and put in a Glide. Technology has improved the sticks to the point that Calverts quote is true (It's Automatic) You and your company, Advanced Clutches, have really moved the sport forward. See you races (hopefully sooner rather then later), Bob |
