ext balanced 305?

Hey guys I have an 86 305 that is ext. balanced... but it was a stick I'm now going to use an auto on it. My question is I have a 400 sb (i don't know what i'm going to do with it if anythng) can i use the flexplate off it ? Would I also have to use the blancer if I did do this? Thanks 4 the help

nope, don't use the 400 stuff, it'll shake big time
you'll need a 305 'wheel and they're cheap enogh...
the 1 piece sbc's are only balanced at the flywheel, the balancer is neutral balanced like a 350 (not a 400)

Greg,
The 400 flexplate is a different bolt pattern than your 305 with the one pc rear main seal crankshaft. You will need to get an 86 or newer 350/305 flexplate. If it does not need to be an SFI wheel, they are fairly cheap.
