Re: 6.0 chevy class c motorhome
Billy, I waited to see if anyone answered before I wrote. I have a 27 foot Class A with the 6.0L V8 (LQ4) gas motor and pull an open trailer at 4800# (with car on) and get 8.5 to 9 MPG. Seems to have good power but is noisy (often see 4800 to 5K in second gear, pulling grades). I don't tow very fast, 60 to 65 and in cruise control it does very well and seems to stay with diesel MotorHomes on long pulls. I only have about 7500 miles on it so far but I'm happy for the way I tow. My GCVW is only 21500 to 22K pounds so that may have something to do with what I call good milage. It pulls a lot better than our old Ford 460 Class C we had, much better fuel milage also Hope this helps.
