60 & 61 chevy stockers can run 3 speed auto
 

thanks to a post on here by "dakuhuna" and several months of follow up NHRA has now acknowleged that the turboglide transmission available for 1957-1961 full size chevrolets was in fact a readily available three speed transmission and will be included in the specification guide.

following an official ruling request as outlined in the rulebook submitted by me, i recieved a phone call yesterday and await a letter from danny gracia confirming the change is approved.

thanks to all who supported me on this issue, over 185,000 were made...
not the ol' shelby says he made one deal...
of course this only really effects 1960-61 full size v-8 chevy stockers except 348 - 315hp.

Thanks for your intrepretation of Jack's post. Any post with the words "for sale" in it can draw all sorts of interpretations but to be certain the rules say no. Sorry you don't like the rules.
