"King Kong" - Atlanta 1991
 

The first time I saw Sheldon Gecker race was at Byron, Illinois in 1978 at the "Bracket Nationals". He had a 1968 Baracuda by the same name. It was a four-speed car. He had caster wheels hanging down on each side of the oil pan to protect it from hitting the pavement.

Very cool pic!:) It's great to see pictures like this of a great racer and an even better guy. If you look close enough, I think you can see Gecker's feet under the car......
