Is there any racers here form that area ? I am headed there tuesday to work for the next few weeks. Gonna kill my plans of going racing in Fla, but I need to work, if its available. Who's in the area? Any racing (local) around there ?

Baton Rouge Race track is only 2 hours from Alexandria. South on I-49 to Hwy 190 @ Opelousas[60miles]. Then East to track on 190 just past Erwinville. Track on left side

Hey Bobby,
What happened to the track that was near Alexandria? I ran some Modified meets back in the mid 70's there. I think it was called CENLA Raceway. What happened to the converted Horse race track at Appaloosa?(SP?) I was there for what I think was the last AHRA World Finals back in the 80's.

Adger, not sure what happen to them. Never ran the one by Alex.. The other one was @ Eunice, La. old horse track and IHRA ran a few time there.

eunice track is closed, state capitol bought some of the grandstands.

Hi Jeff, I am an electrician. There's a Sams there , and that's where I am headed Tuesday. I hope I can find some place to keep my trailer, so I can work on it at night, or over the weekends. You know of anywhere around there, for that ?
