I joined 2 weeks ago at Gainsville race, and I have not gotten an email as the person that signed me up said would happen. I'm sure its just an oversight, but as soon as someone can, can you email me? STOCKERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick.

I dont know who you delt with on your membership, but if it was anyone wearing an official yellow SSSSA shirt you have nothing to worry about. Tina Summerton is the Sec/Tres of the association, and the person that issues the membership cards and sends out the e-mails. With the final race of the year being just 2 weeks ago, and now the Christmas season right here upon us, I'm sure everyone's lives have been hectic, but surely things with get back to somewhat normal soon, and we will all get news about the upcoming season.

Trust me, no one has collected your money on this deal and plans on leaving you with nothing to show for it. The people involved with the SSSSA are all honest, upstanding people. I'm not a Super Stock or Stock class racer, but I am a member of the SSSSA because these people are some of the finest people I know.

If you feel uneasy about what has happened to your membership money send me a PM. I will personally stand good for your membership fees, but I am sure we will all get some news after the hollidays are over.

Where do I find informarion on this Association? I am returning to class racing after many years and would love to join. Do they have a web site?

I should of said "I am an impatiant person, and I want it ( in the tone of a 6 year old) NOW NOW NOW!" :D No seriously, I'm getting back into drag racing, and with my short attention span, that little card or whatever I receive will keep me motivated with my stocker. I have been worse than a kid waiting for christmas to finally arrive waiting for the information, my partner is going to break my fingers so I can't drive myself crazy looking at my email. Yeah, I want to go racing that bad! Tanker, thanks for the reply, I will look forward to my info. Jim, I was hoping to meet you in Gainsville, but I didn't ask anybody if you where their. I did meet another member at the booth, I can't remember his name, but he was a mopar guy. If everybody else is 1/2 as nice as him, I am so looking forward to racing with you guys. That would have to be Tom "The Old Man" Ward. He is the Stock/Super Stock equivalent of "Big Daddy" Don Garlits.

Rick, if you get the opportunity and like old racing stories, sit down with him and let him tell you about his racing experiences over the years. It's always a treat for me to hear him tell those stories. Just make sure you have plenty of time because he has plenty to tell.
