Cylinder Head Runner Volumes

Well guys this is straight from an NHRA official. The runner volumes should be available by the PRI show and thats this coming Thursday, soooooo, lets just hope this happens! We all need to know this as the engine builders are freshening up engines for 2009 and a lot of us need these numbers!

I think it's great. There's going to be quite a few new "doorstops" in racer garages if they follow through with this.

I couldn't agree more, Jared! This will be interesting to say the least. If they do it.

I don't care what they do, Just stop changing their mind and leave it one way or the other.......

The list already exists, there should be no difference between the list already generated and a "stocker" list. However, some engines have 30 more cc's than actual on the current list.

Start Over, or have no cc rule at all.

In most fairy tales at least you have to kiss a frog first.

If the numbers exist for SS then the volumes should be the same. Shouldnt take too much math or decision. Just publish them. Those who are bigger just fill em with putty and change the flow. If putty is allowed in Stocker heads. Not sure on that part.
Now how about injector tech versus carb tech. Is it policed as closely?

I would like to know where I am supposed to be volume wise. My 4.3 V6 doesn't have a SS spec. If they have runner volumes they need to be put on the Engine Blueprint sheet.
