NC/SC IHRA class racers
Which IHRA 1/4 mile track within a reasonable distance (3 hrs. or so) of Charlotte do you feel is the quickest for a stocker?

Re: NC/SC IHRA class racers
If I'm not mistaken there's only 2 IHRA tracks that are quarter mile, Rockingham and Fayetteville. I haven't ran the quarter at Fayetteville in years so I can't say. Rockingham is very fast in the early spring when it's cold but not too cold. If the air is really good in the fall for some reason my car is not as fast as the air shows, maybe it's more humid in the fall, I'm not sure. Summer it gets greasy for for me.

Either lean or "tired", not sure which. The air at the fall race was very good, jetting was the same as spring, just wasn't as fast.

I believe the fastest would be Darlington or Rockingham. Either track can be really fast this time of year.

Re: NC/SC IHRA class racers
You guys missed one. . Coastal Plaines is the fastest track in the state. Its below sea level. I know a super stock racer that when he sold a car would always take it there in December to show the new buyers what he was getting. It would run about .2 quicker than ever. But its not 3hrs from CLT.
