PRI Hotels ??
 

Decided last minute that I am going to go this year after missing the last 3. There are only a few choices of hotels with rooms left, but I heard that a couple of the ones close to the show were really dumps ? Any truth to it ? Any good or bad comments appreciated.

I've stayed twice at the Hawthorn Suites. A good deal for a suite room. The place was a bit used but not a dump. outdoor hot tub was nice. Easy walk to restaurants. it's number 10 on the list.

I booked my room wednesday night through expedia.com and there seemed to be plenty of rooms available. We're staying at the Rosen Centre hotel. It was pretty reasonable. Anyone else ever stayed there?

go to bookit.com and look for the Rosen center,this is a good hotel i just book my room at $57.75 per night, also Ramada at 6500 International Dr is $58.80 for thurday and $62.30 for Friday & Saturday this hotel is 2 miles from the convention center, but Rosen is next door

Wow. That's much cheaper than the PRI agent. My only concern with that is a friend booked independently a few years ago and it was a total mess. The hotel had lost his revervation or somehow given all the rooms to the PRI agent. He had to scramble to find a place.

But that being said, the online site was less than half the price.

Room Available!

My brother just cancelled his trip due to a business conflict...I've got a room available at the Days inn, right across the street from the center.

It's for friday and saturday nights, and it's $80. per night. possibly other nights as well. The room is paid for and non refundable, so make me an offer.

I talked with PRI housing and they say every year there are some rogue travel outfits that book rooms at cheap rates and then don't come through for one reason or another...maybe that's what happened to my friend a few years ago.

Motel 6 has rooms. They are west on International Drive. They are never listed with the big motels in any of the PRI stuff.

Don't think of this as an endorsement for Motel 6, just passing along info. This particular motel is fine.
