Just wanted to say congratulations to Herb and Mike McCandless on Piedmont Dragway winning 2008 Division 9 Track of The Year.
Also, BIG congrats to Jason McCandless on his 2008 Jr. Dragster Championship! Way to go!

I'm just glad there is no pressure on me for next year. There is dad's accomplishments obviously. I have to listen to Herb Jr's glory days of racing and winning an IHRA championship. Now, of all things, my little nephew can talk junk about his championship!!! I'm not sure our motorhome will have enough room for all these ego's haha.

My uncle, my best friend and JR went to vegas for Sema. We all play poker. We were constantly talking junk about who was better. To say there was a lot of junk talking from getting into the car, till we unloaded from the car in burlington, understatement.

Mike, you'll do fine driving next year....some of us remember how much money you won from well known racers in the back of McCandless Performance on the practice tree when you were 11 or 12.

Herb and Mike definitely have one of the finest facilities in the country and are well deserving of the award. They also go out of their way to support class racing and that is very much appreciated by all of us! Now Herb...if you could just stay at your seat during the awards ceremony and not spend so much time running your mouth in the lobby you may receive the award and get your picture taken! Your dad filled in just fine, congrats! By the way, they tried to give you another shot at the stage on Saturday and once again you were absent. LOL!!!!

Thanks everyone, now the reason I wasnt in the room is they had just taken my sons picture outise the room and I was talking to Sherrie Barbour about the JR program in IHRA. Tracy and myself are meeting this week along with Roxboro hopefully and iron some things out for next year. It looks very good for a local deal.
