Mansfield Dragstrip
 

Has anyone read anything reliable about the status of the dragstrip? Heard a lot of conflicting rumors but nothing concrete. Joe

well well well, lol
they are working on it, i need to take a drive by and see what i can see, last time i went by, land was almost level and it was marked out where track was going. Last report had it that the concrete that was taken off of the oval was being recycled to use on strip. Way i heard it workers from other companys come in and work at night (on the side).

I will try to find out more soon. We hope it will open soon, nice to be that close to a track, heck I'll even get another beater to run in the street class there.

I can tell you for a fact that my mother lives about 3 miles from the track and I go by there at least once a week - without a doubt - nothing is happening. Joey -don't waist your gas.

Joe,
there was thread on competition plus I believe, last summer, where the owner was interviewed
and one of his replies was "thats why I won't finish the dragstrip" (roughly) I think it was in response to town council support. I believe it will never happen. ( hoping that somebody proves me wrong)
