Corvette's

When were Corvette's first allowed to replace the "swing arm" rear suspensions with a solid rear end in Stock ?? And who was the first to do so ??
I know some run them with heavyduty original type pieces, but it's still a bit scary on the high HP cars.

we run the tom's differentials setup in our car and there is nothing scary about it. More of those rear ends were broke by lack of understanding the suspension than weakness of parts. The Tom's setup has been mid 8's @over 3600lb race weight. I have the upmost confidence in it.............now if i can just finish the design for the wheelie bar

One of the first ones done was done by Mark Oswald for a Div 4 racer. Sammy Pilazio? Boy, I know I butchered that name.

Became legal for stock about 10 yrs. ago.
