Captain Jack and the Sage of Sedalia - Congratulations
I’m a little tardy, but congratulations to Captain Jack on his U/SA class win at Indy.
The Captain came prepared to race, and his preparation deserved more than a single for the trophy. Deb and Terry Lacy both had problems at the Topeka Divisional that neither could correct in time for Indy. Jack’s 1.077 under placed him Q48, but he just wanted somebody to race. To Captain Jack’s credit, the first words out of his mouth were “where is Deb’s car”. Although it wasn’t going to approach the mania of the U/SA shoot-out of Belle Rose a few years back, I know Jack, Deb and Terry were all very much looking forward to a wagon, cruck (we can’t decide if it is a car/truck or a truck/car – we usually call it a racetar) and turbo-car shoot-out. Congratulations to a deserving champion! P.S. Never-ending thanks to Bob Shaw, the Sage of Sedalia, (a/k/a the Cadillac Kid), and congratulations on Q3. Kyle, Deb, and Danika Fickler |

thanks guys... i dont know if i was up to the two rounds of class racing, and both of the cars are formidable opponents... but as most of you know i (we) were looking forward to it.
and thanks to bob shaw... had he entered in U/SA in the luxuryliner we would have had to bail to T/SA if we wanted any chance at the WALLY also if anyone doesnt know it > both the elcamino and the turbo capri (along with the V/SA champ) are all bob shaws old cars, all have been #1 Qualifiers sold as a courtesy of "Bob's Used #1 Qualifer Auto Sales" jack mccarthy and congrats bullet bob on #1 and new T/SA record last week |
