The curb weights on the new Camaros are awfully heavy (~3700#); but that's all I've seen. Maybe the shipping weights, once they get into the guide, will be better.

motor trend mag has a story on it ,they say v8 coupe is 3420 lbs.

Ben Wenzel should be given one of the Damn things & ask by GM "would you please race stock with this?" But then again that might make marketing since & if GM is like Kenworth they never do anything that "makes since" ;)

I read a review of the Pontiac G8 and they had the shipping weight near 4,000 pounds. With all of the gadgets new cars come with could you buy any V8 car and have it actually weigh less than 3,800 pounds?

If GM lists this as 3,400 pounds it would have to one made out of carbon fiber and missing the AC, air bags, transmission, radio/cd player, "onstar" system, ...

i see they have the drop top v8 auto at 3741 lbs.this is on the gen 5 page,i dont see the coupe that much lighter...the 3440 lbs in the motor trend story was a 300 hp v6 not a v8 as i thought...denny
