Calvin Queahpama passes
Longtime Northwest stock racer Cal Queahpama died on Friday, August 30 at Warm Springs, Oregon. Cal was a real gentleman and one of the most decent guys I ever met, in any walk of life. He would always greet you with a smile and handshake. Cal's 283 powered wagons and 4-doors were always a lot of fun to watch, especially when they got huge handicap starts.
Cal was 67 years old. |

That is indeed sad news. Cal was a racer's racer and a real gentleman. The world needs more people like Cal Queahpama. Condolences to his family.

Re: Calvin Queahpama passes
Sorry to hear about Cal`s passing. The "Big Q" was always a very quiet yet friendly racer, who I remember watching him when I was a kid in the early 70`s. I hadn`t seen him out at the races for the past couple of years, since his son died. RIP Cal.
