I just wanted to let everyone know that after Dave returned home from the points meet in Lebanon Valley he had to be rushed to emergency surgery. As many of you know 2 weeks earlier he had a scare and the doctors thought that they had it under control, were giving him antibiotics and scheduled a surgery on July 22nd to fix the problem. Well apparently the infection had different plans and grew to be very threatening. After 7 hours of surgery the doctor's think that they have the problem resolved. This morning he was moved from ICU and put into a regular room and says that he is going to take it easy for a while. I hope so. He is going to be in the hospital until probably Monday or Tuesday but he is going to have a long recovery ahead of him so he needs all of our support. He would do it for us.

Wow, Brian!! If you talk to Dave, please let him know he's in my prayers. He's sure had a rough year with his health.

i talked to Dave last night, he sounded pretty tired after the rough ordeal but still it was great to talk to the big guy for a few minutes. He said all went well in the operation.

My stint in Stock was short but Dave is a friend to all racers and runs a great series. Get well Dave and take care of yourself first.

We on the near to the West Coast in Arizona are all thinking about you : We all know you are in The Hospital to get freshened up to out live us all and that is good cause we all know the last person standing will be the winner and we can't think of a better person as you are the true winner in our minds for ever , .

By The Way TJ is really liking the PONTIAC Super Stocker and most likely will have to be reprogrammed after his visit here in Mesa, AZ to like chevies where it will be 110 degrees today but no worry it is a "dry Heat'
