Memorial Day Tradition
We just got home from Kanawah Valley Memorial Day race. They had a jet F/C, Gear Jammers, and a beat the heat program, plus their regular bracket program. Yeah, yeah, I know it's just bracket racing but the best part of the whole night was before the invocation and National Anthem, they asked all Veterans in attendance to come out to the starting line and be recognized. The crowd gave them a very nice ovation. They do this every year and it is nice to see. I never had the chance to serve my country in the Armed Forces, but I would like to thank each and every Veteran who reads the posts on this web-site. I think we all take our freedom for granted at times but I hope everybody takes a few moments of time this weekend to think about how valuable our freedom is. If you have friends who are Veterans be sure to say thanks for a job well done. I hope everybody has a great weekend and I hope to see a lot of my old friends soon as Greg Fulk (the best friend a guy could have) and I have started on the new motor for JOE COOL. And remember GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Mike, Debbie, and Stephanie Galuk.
