Herb, are yall still planning on the points race on sunday April 6th if it isn't raining? i can't stand another week without a race

We will make the decision at 11am sunday morning. With gas at what it is dont leave until you call the track. I will delay the start a little to get everyone runs. What I dont want to see is 200 racers tow to a track and then we cant race. I would rather be proactive on this decision which I know will bite me in the *** one day but the forcast looks bad for this weekend. One good thing about Piedmont is Jim Turner and Bob Harris were smart enough to lay gravel in the whole pit area so the water goes down under the grass. even after 5 straight days of rain I drove on it no problem.

I would like to thank Herb and Mike for taking in consideration the racers by making this call in advance. We need more track operators that think about the racers in addition to their bottom line!

Why not run the combo along with the bracket cars on Sunday?

Hey Herb, if you do run your bracket race are you going to run the combo race as well? The weather is looking pretty good for Sunday.

No we arent going to run a combo this weekend since Saturday was called off. We will be running our regular points race this weekend. With racing 3 weekends in March, MIR or Roxboro next weekend and Rockingham in 2 weeks I understand its alot of racing. I hope to see you guys in May at my first combo and the IHRA race in June.
