TVD 'Spring Shootout' event May 1st!
 

Thunder Valley in Marion, S.D. will be hosting the second annual Midwest Class Racers 'Spring Shootout' on Sunday, May 1st.

This will be an informal Stock/Super Stock combo race done under Shootout format on Sunday, May 1st. No qualifying sheets and random pairings per the staging director. The track will be prepped and there will be at least 2 runs before the Shootout begins. $50 total gets you the Test/Tune and the Shootout. Payout will be $500 win, $250 r/u, $125 semis and $75 quarter finals. TVD is an IHRA track, so IHRA indexes are used. No heads up runs for this event only.

This is being run in conjunction with TVD's normal Test and Tune schedule that day. The track is also open the day before (Saturday, April 30th) for Test and Tune. Gates open at 9:00 A.M. with Test and Tune from 12:00 to 6:00 P.M. both days. This format was a real hit last year with over 30 Stock and Super Stock entries.

The Spring Shootout is a great day for early season testing and to blow the winterdust off the driving skills. Last year we had 30 plus cars and a fun race. Plus a good payout for a test day! Looking forward to a fun day.

Mother Nature is finally giving us a break for Sundays weather! The Spring Shootout is looking good - 58 and sunny! Should be Cool/Fast/Fun. Don't miss out on an opportunity to Test & Race for a nice purse on a Fast Test Day. Going to be a great day at Thunder Valley.

Update for the weekend:

-Saturday's Test and Tune has been cancelled due to the soggy conditions.

-Sunday's MCR 'Spring Shootout' and the Test and Tune is still on. Gates open at 9 AM with time trials beginning at noon.

Congrats to Corky McGraw for winning the MCR Spring Shootout. I was fortunate
enough to get to the finals to race Corky. Sun came out Traction came around nicely was a great day for MCR at Thunder Valley Dragways.
