Ohio bans large gatherings of groups...

Due to the virus, the Jegs Sportsnationals / D 3 points meet scheduled for July may be in trouble....Today the NCAA stated that all BB tournament games will be played without spectators in the stands....I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.....

Its not just play time that will be affected. Any large gathering of people. I work for a large corporation, upwards of 7,000 at my location. What do you suppose would happen if one employee was diagnosed with COVID -19? Optimistically speaking, I read where nine pharmaceutical companies are working on a vaccine. PC or not, I pray it happens quickly. Like it or not, its capitalism at its best.

My sister is a Prof at Xavier in Cinci and she sent me a message saying they are on spring break but starting on next monday they will be teaching online with no people in classes. Those such as her who have taught microbiology are "scratching their heads" wondering if maybe this is a stretch.

Wife and I were leaving on a high school group cruise this Saturday but it has been cancelled. Norwegian is giving credits good thru 12/22 so maybe later the if the companies make it. Hate to see what a monthly payment on a cruise ship is.

Mike

And somehow I was led to believe that our taxes were subsidizing big pharma?

MJ, you are absolutely right and I can't believe this post was moved. There will always be naysayers until people start dying in their neck of the woods. nhra is now powerless to stop any local, state or the Federal Government agency from cancelling any of its events . You can believe that at least some races will be cancelled. None of us want to deal with this pandemic but it is here now and we have to take it head on. In the short term nhra should release a statement as to their plans of dealing with this virus. Good luck to everyone and be safe.
