2021 CCRA Race Info
 

This post might be alittle long but I promise you'll want to read it until the end! �� Exciting news for the upcoming 2021 racing season which is fastly approaching!!! We are looking at having a total of 10 races over 5 weekends (yes we need weather to cooperate with us). This season we will be racing at Farmington Dragway, Mooresville Dragway, GALOT Motorsports Park, KDS Motorsports, & Coastal Plains Raceway Park Dragway. There will be a great points cash payout at the end of the season as well as a brand new Simpson Race Products helmet courtesy of Redline Speed Shop (Tabitha & Robbie Draughon). Chad McCreary of Copperhead Graphics in Cana, VA will custom paint the helmet with 2021 CCRA Champion artwork. Dash for Cash is being sponsored by Warren Engines & the winner will receive $100.00. 1st Round Best Losing Package is being sponsored by Victory Lane Golf Carts (Eddie Longhany Jr) & that winner will receive $50.00. 2nd Round Best Losing Package is being sponsored by Renegade Race Fuels & Lubricants with each winner receiving a 5 gallon pail of their PRO 112+ racing fuel. At the conclusion of each race, there will be 2 more awards to be given with the 1st one being The Paul Bunyan Award (Best Reaction Time entire race) sponsored by Auto Plus Service Center & Collision Repair (Jeff & Mike Longhany), winner will receive $50.00 & the 2nd one is the Hard Luck Award (for the racer with the worse luck on that given day) sponsored by Ed & Avery McLawhorn Racing, winner will receive $25.00.

Mark Joyce of MJ Printing & Graphics will be assisting this year as well in past years with the CCRA t-shirt design, the Eagle trophies, & the trailer checks.

Each race will have a Title & an Associate sponsor that we'll be referring the weeks prior to each race as well as on race day.

Membership fee for 2021: $200.00 (you are not required to be a member to race), this fee will also goes towards points fund
Race entry: $100.00 ($75.00 goes towards race day purse & $25.00 goes to promoters/tech official/help)

We are hoping to finalize the 2021 schedule in the next few days so be looking for that post. Hope everyone is ready to turn some tires in a few short weeks! See y'all at the track soon!!

* 10 points to enter race
* 5 points per round won
* Counting best 8 out of 10 races
* 10 bonus points for attending all 10 races

To remind everyone of our new format for 2021.

Membership to join the points is $200. You will have to be a member to run for the points championship. You don't have to be a member to attend the races.

The entry fee for the races will be $100 with $75 going into the purse and $25 going to administration to pay for our race officials.

Warren Engines is a family owned business, owned by brothers, Joey & Jeffrey Warren. Even on most days you will still be able to find Mr. Bobby working in the shop as well!! They have been in business since 1985 & currently have 6 employees. They specialize in race & high performance engines as well as offering all machine shop services.

Not only does this family work together, but they also all race together. It doesn't just stop with the 2 brothers racing either. Joey's son, Joel Warren just pulled off the biggest win in his racing career this past weekend at the Southern Sportsman Showdown at South Georgia Motor Sports Park. Jeff's daughter, Brooke races in Top Dragster & her husband Steve races in Stock Eliminator.

Warren Engines is our Dash for Cash sponsor for the 2021 season. This will take place during the 2nd run at each race & there is no charge for it. Simply put a dial in on your car & the winner will receive a "crisp" $100.00.

Auto-Plus is another family owed business, owned by brothers Mike & Jeff Longhany. Their business was established in 2006 & they currently have 6 employees. They specialize in mechanic work & body shop/collision repair.

This family has deep racing roots & you won't find a more willing family to offer another racer a hand when needed at the track. You will find the Longhany Clan parked all together at the track & on any given day, they will have 5+ cars in competition. Rumor from dad, Edward Longhany is that Mike is itching to get back in the seat of his car so hopefully we will see him at our races this year. Jeff races in both Stock & Super Stock, & their other brother Eddie Longhany Jr. has a Camaro that he runs in Stock & of course the glue that holds the family together, Mr. Ed runs his Duster in Super Stock.

Auto-Plus Service Center & Collision is sponsoring "The Paul Bunyan Award-Best Reaction Time" for our 2021 CCRA racing season. This award will be determined at the end of each race for the best RT throughout competition & the winner will be given $50.00. Auto-Plus will also be our associate sponsor for GALOT Motorsports Park race #2 coming to us in August.
