Pro Stock : 50 Years Old this weekend
 

The 1970 NHRA Winternations saw the Pro Stock class run for the first time with Mr Bill Jenkins winning the first event. He beat Ronnie Sox in the final. The cars were converted SS cars. The Grumps Camaro had a 3 point roll bar,and slapper bar rear suspension.A little different from todays Pro cars.

Would like to see some pics of Bob Lambecks 68 dart ,I believe it raced at the 1970 Winternationals first pro stock event .

For all ..... please post up pics of any make early Pro Stock, just keep it in the proper time frame. Not suggesting any year to be a cut off point. Just try to keep it in the spirit of the early days of Pro Stock! 😎

If I remember correctly, the front wheels on this car were reported to be the FIRST set of Cragar Super Tricks.
