JEGS 2019 Sportsnationals Entry Fee Info

We have been unable to find out about pre-entering for this years event. In past years you could pre-enter and save some $$ from paying at the gate. We saw there were some entries in the Event Stats. NHRA's bewildering websites are pathetic when it comes to disseminating any useful info about his. Anyone know?

Go to NHRARACER.com, national events, registration website, enter user and password, then enter. Right now only 9 stock and 4 superstock cars entered.

How much is the entry at the gate? Does the insurance surcharge apply to the Sportsnationals?

No insurance because there are no pros, did you really think the insurance covers the sportsman racers? Has been more at the gate in the past.

If I remember correctly it's $25 less if you pre-enter than at the gate for car & driver.

The insurance thing still irritates me...NHRA sits by and watches the fuel bombs go off and does nothing substantial to slow them down. They’ve made progress in driver safety but are quite happy with us paying their insurance premiums to protect fans from the fuel explosions. Don’t recall how much they paid out for the accident years ago in Pomona but it’s obvious we’re still paying for it. Throttle back the fuel cars and the casual fan won’t be able to tell the difference and stop highlighting the explosions over and over! Rant over...

This is probably a stupid question, but do you get a grade point for attending this race? Someone at Indy was telling me this was the case. I thought it counts as a national only.

Todd I was always given a grade point for this race whether it be here in Cols or at BG.

Not sure about this year. Sometime earlier it was posted that this is considered a Nat. race, no grade point would be given.

Sportnationals is a National Event, with National event payouts, and a grade point. It's a unique race .

S/G gets a grade point for this event.

Re: JEGS 2019 Sportsnationals Entry Fee Info

I talked to the track Race Coordinator at Trails for that specific reason and he told me no test n tune, no grade points and the AHFS would be in effect. Would be treated like a National Event. Could have been someone just walking by the phone, but I didn't question him. Jeff, we need to clear this up.

I just got confirmation from a division 3 official that you are awarded a grade point for attending the Sports Nationals for each class you run.

I also believe you can set records there. I know in the past you could.

Can someone verify if the AHFS will be in place? I called the divison 3 office this week and no answer. Thanks

Does NHRA have membership renewal at the gate/track? Or does it have to be done before?
Thanks.

Re: JEGS 2019 Sportsnationals Entry Fee Info

More than likely NHRA will not have the forms for license renewal with them in the tech trailer. I've printed these forms out in the link "below" and filled them out at home and turned them in at the tech trailer with my money before my expiration on my card. Got my new license & membership card in the mail a few weeks later. Saves mailing them.....
