Anyone have any info on this particular event? I'm headed out there for the 1st time.

Entry fee/Payout?

How many qualifying runs?

Etc....

Thanks

I know Curt and Jim have gotten some good local support to add to the payouts on both days. I'm not sure what the totals are but it makes it super nice for a two race/one tow event. Plus it is alot of fun out there.

This race has been on my radar for a couple of years, and I've heard nothing but good things. A bit of a hike from central MN, but I'm going to make it. Looking forward to a new track.

There is $2250 committed to the Aaron Koppien Memorial race on Saturday. This is in addition to any entry fees, so the more cars, the more money will be paid out

Just a reminder, with the tragic event involving Jon Christensen on every one's minds, there will be one time trial Sunday morning before the ladder is set for the NHRA D 5 National Open S/SS combo. If you will not be able to attend on Saturday, you will have the opportunity to race on Sunday if you choose to come. We also have $1400 in sponsorship money for this race that is in addition to the NHRA purse. Time trials will start at 10 AM both Saturday and Sunday with eliminations at 2 PM.

I know Jon will be with all of us in spirit. Rest, my friend!

Would like to go, but we need to work. I would say I cannot remember the last time we have felt more welcome at any track. I also remember we were pitted next to Jon last year. Always a smile, and happy to be racing. That I will not forget, just like Aaron's. Hopefully the weather will co-operate and the event will be a good one.

The weather looks good! It rained today, Thursday, but we have a NW wind now which will dry things out in a hurry. 70's for Saturday and Sunday, light breeze and sunny both days.

Rigs are already coming into the track, even on Thursday! Gates are open 24 hours, so a lot of racers will be in on Friday.

Doug Engels, GT/GA, winner, $1800. Rick Ryan, SS/NA, runner up, $700. John Hladky, G/S and Curt Heib, E/SA, semis. Rick Ryan was low qualifier.

31 cars qualified for the event. A total of $3800 was paid out. The weather was great!
